Kitchen renovation questions
How long does a kitchen renovation take?
Once design and selections are final, most kitchen renovations run several weeks to a couple of months of construction depending on scope, structural changes and material lead times. You get a written schedule before work begins, and materials are ordered before demolition so the site never sits waiting.
Where do I choose cabinets and countertops?
In our showroom. Cabinetry runs through our partners at Cabinets Direct Wholesalers and stone through Rye Marble & Granite, both in our building, alongside flooring, tile, fixtures and hardware. Your designer walks you through all of it in one place.
Can you open my kitchen to the living space?
Usually yes, and it is the single most transformative move in most homes. Wall removals are structural work, which is exactly where design/build earns its keep: our designers and builders plan the beam work together and the fixed quote covers it before demolition.
Do I need to move the plumbing and appliances?
Only when it genuinely improves the layout. Keeping the sink and appliances near their positions saves real money, and our designers are honest about when a relocation is worth it and when it is not.
What is included in the design phase?
Layout development, cabinetry design, material and finish selection, lighting and electrical planning, and the working drawings construction runs from. It all happens with our in-house designers before you approve a fixed quote.
Can you match the kitchen to the rest of my home?
That is the point of doing design in-house. Door styles, stone, flooring and hardware are chosen against your home's actual character in the showroom, so the finished kitchen belongs to the house rather than to a catalog.
Do you renovate kitchens in shore rentals?
Yes, on off-season schedules built around your booking calendar, with durable materials chosen for hard seasonal use.
